And then there were three*

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

There are only three undefeated teams left in the NFL* and tops among them (alphabetically) are the Buffalo Bills.

Oh sure, they haven’t had the toughest schedule so far, but wins are wins and are way better than losses. Hooray for Dreamtown!

*The Giants had a bye so have played one fewer game.

Grain Elevators Back in Business

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

I’m not a fan of ethanol, but in the meantime it’s nice to see the grain elevators are back in business. If nothing else, they’re getting a nice refurbishing for some potential future use.

The Bills beat the Raiders on a last-second field goal today to go to 3-0. Will they ever lose again?

In related news, I’ve been staying in Tudor City when in Manhattan. Today I noticed McFadden’s — right in front of Tudor City — had a lot of people outside during the game wearing Bills jerseys, and a big Bills sign in the front window. There are Dreamtown sports bars in every city for those of us who can’t be home at game-time. Nice.

That’s right, the Buffalo Bills are undefeated!

Even better, hockey season starts next month! Good times indeed…

National Wingfest

Monday, September 1st, 2008

The National Wingfest was held in Dreamtown this weekend, with (naturally) beautiful warm weather throughout. The Food Channel was there. So was the Travel Channel.

I think the coolest part must be the 0.5k “race” with a stoplight half-way where people throw donuts at the contestants. Easy to see why the Fitness Channel wasn’t here, but hey, it’s one weekend a year.
