Having lived in the DC area, I can tell you without reservation that no, it is not true. DC is hotter and more humid than most rainforests. It’s no Dreamtown.

I’ve heard it said that Buffalo is very humid, even more so than Washington, DC, which was built on a swamp. Is this true?
